Islam has taught that military strength does not solely depend on the weaponry, technology or strategy. In fact, true strength lies in piety towards Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, steadfastness of the soul, continuous remembrance or zikir, undivided loyalty and patience in facing all trials. The matter was included in the Friday Sermon titled "Faith As the Core of National Defence's Strength". The prayer leader also emphasised that in the context of the country, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces shoulders a great responsibility in defending the sovereignty of the country preserved.
This task is not just a professional responsibility, but rather an act of worship that is highly valued by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala when carried out with full sincerity. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces adhere to the core values of piety, loyalty, courage, and professionalism. However, the value of piety serves as the main pillar that enlivens and guides the said value in its entirety, simultaneously becoming the internal strength that shapes the identity of each member.
